Examples of Complete Streets In Canada

There is no one cookie template or design for Complete Streets. Each is unique and responds to its community context. A Complete Street in a rural area looks different from one in a large city, but both are designed to balance safety and convenience for everyone using the road.  The following examples were developed to show what Complete Streets can look like in various community contexts across the country.

Square One Drive, extension

Square One Drive is an extension of an existing street that anticipates increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic as the Civic Centre grows. The expansion of the Sheridan College campus provided an opportunity a Complete Streets approach to enhance the public realm, increase safety and build capacity for all modes of travel.
