The City of Charlottetown’s Regional Active Transportation Plan (2012) uses the term Complete Streets, when discussing ongoing projects to encourage a modal shift away from single-occupant vehicles, funded under the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Green Municipal Fund:
“Development of Complete Streets (roadways designed and operated to enable safe, attractive and comfortable access and travel for all users – pedestrians, cyclists, transit, high-occupancy vehicles, and private and commercial vehicles),” (Section 3.6, Funding Sources, pg 28).
